Midway between Guimbal, Iloilo and Miagao, Iloilo, pause at the old Spanish stone bridge just off the National Highway, on the south (ocean) side of the road.  Thanks to those who have preserved and maintained this oasis.  It’s a good place to get our of the car and stretch your legs, perhaps even to picnic.  On the Miagao municipal website the bridge is referred to as “Tatay Boni”.

The path of the old road can be easily seen.

  1. hi bob n carol,

that’s Taytay Boni (named after Bonifacio Neular) who supervised construction of that Spanish-era/colonial bridge in Miagao.
